ISFFT's educational program is open to film students and anyone interested in cinema. Through open masterclasses and panel discussions, it creates a meeting point between academic education and professional practice, while workshops are held with selected participants.

Saimir Bajo

Saimir Bajo teaches at prestigious institutions such as FAMU International and FAMO – Film Academy in Písek. His projects and scripts have been selected at important industry platforms such as Berlinale Co-Production Market, CineLink, Torino Film Lab and Creative Europe, while his films have been screened at international festivals worldwide. He is the director and co-author of the feature-length documentary Decadent No. 2419 (2022), as well as the author of the feature film The Violinist (2023), which has received several international awards.

Masterclass: “The Violinist” and the creative spark — The connection between the personal and the universal

Built around the appearance of The ViolinistBuilt around the screening of The Violinist, this session explores the director’s creative journey — from initial inspiration to final cut. The discussion focuses on how deeply personal experiences can be transformed into cinematic narratives that resonate on a universal level and establish a meaningful connection with the audience.

Thomas Logoreci

Thomas Logoreci is a screenwriter and filmmaker with extensive international experience in short film and documentary. He wrote and starred in A Day’s Work, which has been screened at major festivals such as South by Southwest, Nashville, and Dresden, earning several international awards. He has also been part of the team behind the Oscar-nominated documentary How Do You Measure a Year? and has contributed for years as a selector at renowned festivals such as Dokufest and Sheffield Doc/Fest.

Masterclass: “The architecture of the short film”

This session explores the construction of a short film — from the initial idea to narrative structure and character development.

Workshop — Umberto Contarello

Umberto Contarello is an acclaimed Italian screenwriter, known for his long-standing collaboration with director Paolo Sorrentino and his contribution to some of the most significant contemporary European films.

This workshop is designed as an intensive working space focused on the development of ideas, narrative structure, and the writing process.

Fatos Berisha

Fatos Berisha is a film, theatre, and television director, graduated from the University of Prishtina. He is the co-founder and director of PriFest – Prishtina International Film Festival and a member of the European Film Academy. His work and institutional roles have made him a key figure in the development of cinema in the region.

Masterclass: Cinema as an institution — The director and the audience

This session explores the relationship between the filmmaker and the audience, focusing on how directors navigate the film industry while maintaining a meaningful artistic connection with the public.

Rovena Lule Kuka

Rovena Lule (Rovi) is an actress, acting coach, and director from Albania, recognized for her contribution to theatre and film in the region. She works closely with young actors, supporting their development within a contemporary artistic context, and has been involved in both film and theatre productions as an actress and director.

Masterclass: Acting Between Film and Theatre — Performing the Same Work Across Two Dimensions

This session explores the nuances of adapting performance between film and theatre, focusing on how actors adjust their energy and expression between the intimacy of the camera and the presence of the stage.
